The mission of Meisei University is to foster students to become people dedicated to the world. This world refers to international society and local community including society, companies and the nation. As there are so many problems and issues around us, nurturing students to contribute to the world by solving problems is our mission. The universe has a certain degree of order and this order is maintained by keeping “harmony” with all that exists in the world. We believe that solutions based on the principal of creating harmony lead to meaningful contributions to the world. Education based on this belief is our mission.
Shizuoka University was inaugurated on June 1, 1949, following approval on May 31 of the same year for the university's establishment through the unification of five educational institutions: the former Shizuoka High School, Shizuoka Normal School and Shizuoka 2nd Normal School , Shizuoka Normal School for Youth and Hamamatsu College of Technology.
In 1895, the 28th year of the Meiji period, Sai Murasaki founded a private vocational institution. Presently, Tokushima Bunri University and its affiliated Junior College consist of 9 faculties and 26 departments making it one of the largest post-secondary
